Last night I changed over the DNS for a client's website that I've been setting up in WebhookCMS.
Her webhook url is: yenlaw.webhook.org
Her domain is: yenlaw.com
When we changed the DNS, her old site is down, and now when I go to yenlaw.com, it just says "Hey this is the DNS Server for Webhook. If you're seeing this page you've either hit it directly, or have pointed your DNS to our servers but our servers do not have a record of yo ur DNS. Please check your sites DNS settings."
I know it can take 24-48 hours for DNS to propogate, but it's already trying to get to Webhook.... so does this message mean something is wrong? I followed the steps on both ends, and looked at it just to make sure.... her DNS is set correctly.... And I do realize it's only been about 18 hours, but it is making me nervous.

It looks like the Webhook site is up. That is good.
The process I usually follow a couple days before launch:
- Configure domain in Webhook
- Create TXT entry per domain admin area
- Lower TTL on other records, but do not change their values
Then on launch day, I flip the switch to point the root's A record and any CNAMEs.
With a super-low TTL, you should see the new site near immediately. Then, update your TTLs to taste.
I have, on occasion, needed to turn sites off for non-payment or other reasons and have noticed the generic message when turning them back on. But that always resolved itself for me in 5-10 minutes. Since the sites were off to begin with, it was no big deal.

Well... I didn't do that regarding the TTL and all that - but I'll remember to do that for my next project (which is starting the development phase now, i.e. firing up a new site in Webhook, etc.).
With this one being a brand new site, and not one I redesigned / migrated from an old one like the yenlaw is, it will be better in terms of DNS and such.

And now it's up altogether! AWESOME - and I'm so relieved!
First site using WebhookCMS - pretty happy with it (as is my client!).
