I'm not sure what happened, but I was trying to rework some content types, and now anything I try to do via relations doesn't link properly it just creates a brand new entry in the related content type. I thought maybe I'd corrupted my original site, so I started a second one, and have worked for three hours moving everything over, only to find out that it's doing the same exact thing, I did download the last version I pushed up which isn't doing that (so it's backed up).
The original (first) one is: techsoup-dev-wh.webhook.org - the site that is deployed doesn't have the problem (it was before I tried to reorganize the content types to be more what I was after for relationships)... but the one I have locally is all botched up now.
The new one I started is: techsoup-develop.webhook.org (not deployed)
I also just now tried updating webhook (wh update) on the original one, and that didn't fix it. I'm not sure what's going on, but I'm really frustrated. 10 hours of wasted time trying to work on this and get it to work.
EDIT: Never mind. Serves me right for staying up all night -- I have this on github (the original site).. so the only thing I lost was a days work not the whole thing. I'm an idiot.
EDIT 2: Well I should have waited before I posted. It's still doing the same thing. I am at my wits end.

I'm having the same issue. I tried re-indexing, it just hung. I tried reverting back to an older version of my site...nothing seems to work.

Okay oddly enough, the newer of the two sites (the one I built last night (also known as early this morning, when it was still dark and I was in panic mode) is working now. All the relationships. No clue what happened, but I'm happy it's working. Whew....

Oh and I also once again misspoke. It did NOT work correctly as I had thought. I just have been able to work around it. I haven't tried it since I went to take a nap. I guess we'll see if it fixed itself or not.

Ok, I thought I was crazy.
I just noticed on twitter that they are aware of the situation.

I didn't see that. Well that makes me feel better. Thought I was losing my mind LOL... although I should have had a clue when a brand new site did the same exact thing. Hopefully it will be a quick fix.

Same problem here. Seems like an elastic search issue?

Hopefully this is fixed relatively soon. Been a good 8 hours since the tweet and still noticing that we can't post anything due to the relation issue (tie to author names).

This should be fixed. Our elastic search provider decided to wonk out. Sorry for the downtime, but should be back to normal now.
